Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic Drainage Therapy

The Lymph system is a critical part of the body. It is a network of tissue and organs that rid the body of unwanted materials. Did you know that the human body has more lymph fluid in it than blood? The lymph fluid is collected through lymph tubes to lymph nodes, and empties into the right or left major vein, where it mixes back into the blood.

The lymph system is responsible for processing excess fluids, toxins, foreign substances and cellular waste from all parts of the body. In order for the body to utilize its full elimination and rejuvenation potential, it is vital that lymph drainage pathways are clear for lymphatic tissues to carry toxins and waste lymph nodes where they can then be purged. In a perfect world these systems would function seamlessly on their own. However, with the stresses, dietary habits, and lack of exercise of modern lifestyles, the lymph system easily becomes overwhelmed and sluggish, thus requiring help to really do its job.

Think about it. Lymphoma is the #1 Cancer in the USA. Most of America is quite sedentary. Yet the Lymphatic System has been one of the least thought about systems in our bodies, but that’s all been changing in the last decade. We need to move our bodies in order to get the lymph moving!! The heart pumps the blood through the circulatory system. Peristaltic contractions is what moves the waste through our intestines (against gravity no less!) so that we can defecate. There is NO CATALYST for the lymph but movement itself! This is why it is so important to take action so that the lymph does not get congested.

Common Symptoms

Unlike the cardiovascular system of the body, which has the heart to act as a pump moving blood through the veins, capillaries and arteries, the Lymphatic System (which makes up 70% of the body’s immune force) relies entirely on a proper diet, daily exercise and healthy lifestyle choices to flow smoothly. Stress, dehydration, imbalances in your diet, lack of muscle movement, and iodine deficiency are common contributors to lymph congestion. Have you been feeling tired and stiff in the morning, bloated, swollen glands, experiencing low immunity or elevated sensitivity to environmental allergens, dealing with dry skin, mild rash or acne? These are all symptoms of a congested lymph.

What is Lymphatic Drainage Therapy?

The Lymphatic Drainage Therapy session is not a hands on massage. It is a device that runs on the same frequency of the lymph that omits 3 gasses, 2 that makes the lymph more aqueous or watery so it can more easily pass thru the lymph nodes and 1 that stabilizes hormones. Because it runs on frequency, it penetrates much more deeply than hands could ever go. It has been the most effective treatment I have found for lymph.

Attached to the device are 2 transmission heads that will be placed systematically over the entire lymphatic system to help move the lymph towards the nodes. The lymph will then filter thru the kidneys and eventually exit the body via the urine. You will want to drink a lot of water afterwards to facilitate the release the toxins out of the body thru the urine, therefore it is recommended to do a little earlier in the day as to not interrupt a good nites sleep. Although typically people feel quite relaxed after receiving this therapy and reports of deep sleep are common, most people are perfectly fine to continue about their regular days activities afterwards.

The session lasts for 50 minutes. Expect to undress completely except for your underwear that will remain on. You will then lie beneath a sheet on a massage table, both front and back. There is no specific requirement for preparation although best to do it on a somewhat empty stomach so your body isn’t focused on digestion and can truly be present to receive all the benefits the Lymphatic Drainage Therapy has to offer!
